Glitz Style Awards; Top 5

Glitz Style Awards Review; Top five (5) Best Looks of the Night.

On the 14th of September, with no astrologic prediction the stars aligned. Shining bright like diamonds they converged at the Movenpick Grand Hotel. It was a night of high fashion, flawless creativity and sophisticated entertainment, hosted by Nikki Samonas and Mai Atafo who looked blissful in blue, but I for one think the real show took place on the red carpet. The outfit choices of our local celebrities who strutted on the carpet was definitely one for the books. Who else was getting GH MET Gala vibes?! Obviously not every outfit was a hit but let’s spare the ne’er-do-wells for today and bask in the light of the stars who truly shone bright. Of course a lot of them stunned on the night but we've narrowed it down to 5.

5. Kojo Jones
Our  pick for number 5 is Ghanaian business executive, Kojo Jones. First of all I think men are underappreciated when it comes to fashion but this man is definitely worth mentioning for his African inspired outfit. From his head wear to the main outfit and accessories down to his shoes, every item was on point and complimented each other. The pop of color around the neck area of his outfit was just the right African spice he needed to nail the look. Check out his Instagram page @kojojones for his getting ready video.

4. James Gardener
Our fourth favorite I picked another deserving gentleman, James Gardener. The Ghanaian actor wore a traditional blue black three piece agbada. What is most interesting about his outfit was how classy it was. The pattern and buttons of the outfit and the fabric quality made him look more regal. The glitz style awards style awards is a classy and fashionable affair and I think his look captured the theme perfectly.

3. Zynnell Zuh
All hail the most fascinating fascinator of the night!! Our third pick for the night was also awarded the best dressed celebrity on the red carpet of the year and we can see why! Zynnell zuh stunned in a golden ensemble from @sima_brew. The off shoulder outfit was adorned with cowries which added a traditional twist to a rather modern gown. Zynnell is no stranger killing it on the red carpet and she definitely did it again. Congrats on her award.

2. Yvonne Okoro
At number 2 we have Yvonne Okoro who was honored on the night as the Glitz Magazine Style Influencer of the year which I think she really deserved.  She looked as amazing as always in a turquoise dress by @yartelgh. Her stylist did a wonderful job because not only was the dress incredibly stunning with its sequins and the sleeve style, but also in how it accentuated her curves and flattered her figure. She looked nothing less of a style influencer, congratulations.

Before we crown our best dressed look of the night let’s look at some honorable mentions.
1.Eazzy (@eazzyfirstlady) - looking like a Parisian sunset.

2. Efya and Kelvin Vincent (@efya_nokturnal, @kelvinvincentgh) - a very dynamic duo and just so much fun to look at.

Ok so now our best dressed of the night...

1. Deborah Vanessa
Of all the stars in the constellation she shined brightest. Sister Derby always makes a statement on the red carpet and this was no different, only better! Her golden gown by House of Paon (@houseofpaon) was perfect with the jewel encrusted top and a sheer bottom. Her skin was glowing as well which is what happens when you take a water and mind your business! Her hair (candycrochets) and makeup (saybeauty_makeover) also complimented the outfit perfectly. She looked sexy, fun, royal and just absolutely stunning. A true African Mermaid! This is definitely her best look so far and definitely the best look on the red carpet as well. She was all Glitz and glamour and her Style deserved the Award for the best dressed of the night. oh and don't forget her EPis coming oo if it comes and you don't buy some you'll see.!!
