He was staring at her 
She knew but pretended not to care  

He walked straight to her  
Her heart raced as she felt him near
He said hi 
And when she turned it was love at first sight 

She said no when he offered a drink        
When intoxicated she couldn’t think  
Awkward silence was the next thing  
It took her some time for it all to sink 
 He wanted to turn his back and leave  
But his legs wouldn’t move, even they believed  
That he had loved her at first sight 

They started to talk then went for a walk 
She wanted to melt; he knew what she felt 
They had fallen in love at first sight 
A love that felt so real and true 
Was a feeling that was for them so new 
It broke all boundaries, exceeded great heights 
They both now believed in love at first sight  
  
If you’re a sucker for romance then you really enjoyed that piece. Unfortunately, it’s not based on true life events at all. It is merely a work of fiction. But that's the beauty of literature, it allows you to play pretend and bring your wildest thoughts to life with ink. So, let's do that, lets imagine.

Imagine waking up one morning and feeling a burst of energy surging through your veins making you feel like you can take over the world. You look in the mirror and you actually like what you see and you're completely unaware of your flaws. Your hair looks good, your clothes fit perfectly and you just feel like a million dollars. you sit in your brand new Porche because it matches your outfit more than the benz and bentley  and you drive yourself to work (or you want a driver too?!)  

After a day of closing huge deals and nailing presentations and still looking good, you decide to take yourself out for a treat. You pick the most expensive restaurant and sit at their finest table and order your favorite meal with a glass of their most expensive champagne because why not? You look across the room and as luck would have it staring back at you is the spectacular looking human being you've ever seen. A person who looks like they are the sole reason we call our creator a God of perfection. You find yourself staring at that piece of eye candy so much you're sure you'll get diabetes. oh no! it looks like Perfection is leaving but wait they're coming towards you instead. perfection sits in front of you and says hi and immediately you feel an electric sensation running through your body. when your eyes meet you can see your future in them. you have the most wonderful conversation with the right mix of silliness and seriousness. you're certain that this is the piece that was missing but now your life is complete and for the rest of your life this person is a answer to every problem in the complex mathematical equation that is life and they get full marks for method too! 

Ok now wake up. Let's get real. Life rarely ever works that way if it ever does. In fact, the harsh realities we are confronted with every day doesn't allow us to even expect these fairytale happenings to materialize. A lot of people say life is not a bed of roses, but when you think about it it actually is. Like the brightly colored petals of a rose, life is beautiful from the seven wonders of the world to the pure laughter of a child, there's beauty all around us. just like the thorns of a rose life is full of dangers and troubles that spring up without warning. But the presence of the thorns doesn't subtract from the beauty of the flower, it just joins the petals to make it complete. That's how life is, we take the good and the bad and we live one day at a time. C’est la vie. 


Remember when life gets tough just escape to your world of imagination. Its free, its legal and it's the only place men can grow wings and fly.
