A lot of people are hesitant to enter into relationships because of the many stereotypical assumptions being tossed about all over social media. People think that most women are gold diggers only interested in draining guys financially while guys on the other hand have been grouped under the umbrella ‘All men are trash’ who only seek sexual gratification from women. I have written extensively on how women can rise above this stereotype and become independent women so now let me address the other gender.  One of the crimes men have been accused of is destroying good relationships because of our promiscuity. Although some guys take pride in having multiple partners and intentionally opt for this, some guys too end up cheating due to momentary weakness. Explicitly speaking, it all comes down to sex. There is a popular saying ‘body no be firewood’. This is true because unlike firewood the body has a brain capable of thinking through ideas to make sensible decisions. Some guys use this ...

With this I shield my breast …  ‘In the chest of a woman is not only an extension of breast and a feeble heart but a flaming desire to possess and use power.’- Efo Kodjo Mawugbe. The battle of the sexes has long been fought for more than centuries. Different eras of human history show powerful women who in the midst of men fought to make their voices heard. Even here in Ghana we are told the tale of the brave Yaa Asantewaa who led her people in battle. Although there are quite a number of powerful women in our day, the number could increase by far. This can happen if girls of today are taught their true worth at an early age. In our world today, especially in Africa, girls have been programmed to believe that their highest qualification in life is to become a wife. Sure we do not prevent them from going to school and lock them up in the kitchen as in the days of old, but even as girls are encouraged to get an education they are only encouraged not to go so far or else what tim...

The Tale of the Green-eyed monster  What manner of monster is this? One who does not crawl in the shadows but rears its ugly head proudly in the light of day. A monster that does not hide underneath your bed but takes over the entire room. A beast so merciless it preys on everyone in its reach, even children. No one is safe from its cold touch. It waits patiently for you to build something magnificent then it creeps in slowly and destroys it brick by brick. It plants a seed of doubt in your mind and waters it with your deepest insecurities till you are completely consumed by rage and engulfed in insanity. Beware my friends, of the green eyed monster.  For those of who do not know the green- eyed monster, it goes by a lot of other aliases. In some corners it is known as jealousy and in other parts in known as envy. Regardless of whatever you decide to call it, it’s still a terrible thing known for doing more harm than good. Many a relationship have suffered at the hands of ...

Glitz Style Awards Review; Top five (5) Best Looks of the Night. On the 14th of September, with no astrologic prediction the stars aligned. Shining bright like diamonds they converged at the Movenpick Grand Hotel. It was a night of high fashion, flawless creativity and sophisticated entertainment, hosted by Nikki Samonas and Mai Atafo who looked blissful in blue, but I for one think the real show took place on the red carpet. The outfit choices of our local celebrities who strutted on the carpet was definitely one for the books. Who else was getting GH MET Gala vibes?! Obviously not every outfit was a hit but let’s spare the ne’er-do-wells for today and bask in the light of the stars who truly shone bright. Of course a lot of them stunned on the night but we've narrowed it down to 5. 5. Kojo Jones Our  pick for number 5 is Ghanaian business executive, Kojo Jones. First of all I think men are underappreciated when it comes to fashion but this man is definitely worth mentionin...
